News from Santa CCTV Date confirmed for Southport Christmas Parade 2017 The charity event is set to be 'bigger than ever' The organiser of Southport Christmas Parade has confirmed the event will return for 2017. The charity event, hosted by Adam Brown, will return for the third year and work to arrange the event is already underway. The family friendly Christmas parade will see hundreds of toys being donated to Springbrook Children's Home. Adam is encouraging the families of Southport and surrounding areas to come and watch as the parade travels through Southport, Birkdale and Ainsdale to make the toy delivery. Adam said: "We promise that this year is not one to miss, it is set to be bigger than ever with over 100 vehicles and floats. "We have some great surprises for you this year, all the vehicles will be covered in decorations and lights to help add to the Christmas spirit in Southport." It has been confirmed that the parade will take place on Sunday, December 3 at 4pm. Speaking of the event, Adam added: "This has now become the biggest Christmas Parade in the North West. "We have trucks, vans, cars, floats, ice cream vans, motorbikes, and the main man himself Santa. "The parade will set off along both sides of the promenade, Lord Street West, Lulworth Road, Waterloo Road, Liverpool Road and ending to see the children in Ainsdale." With many participants already signed up, Adam is also inviting other local businesses to take part in this years parade.
