Christmas arrives at John Lewis Newcastle - take a look a famous store's seasonal shop

Famous for its Christmas TV adverts, Newcastle department store John Lewis has unveiled its festive range for 2017 It’s the department store which has become synonymous with heart warming festive adverts and Christmas has arrived at John Lewis already, with the opening of its seasonal shop. The Eldon Square institution is known for going all out year after year as we edge closer to December 25 and they’re quick off the mark this year with Christmas trees already up and fully decorated an array of accessories and ornaments ideal to create a winter wonderland in your own home. We called into the famous Newcastle store for a first look at what they’ve got up their sleeve for Christmas 2017 and, as you can see from our short video, there are plenty of eye-catching Yuletide pieces to tempt your purse strings. In keeping with previous years, a number of Christmas trees now adorn the shop floor, each with a very distinct theme. If you’re looking to keep things traditional with your decorations this year the Folklore look, with its berries, gingerbread baubles and wooden decorations. And then bringing a stylish chill to proceedings is the Winter Palace theme, featuring ice-white waterfall lights, feathered peacock clips and diamante leaf baubles. Onto Into the Woods, which takes inspiration from fairytales and is brought to life by glittery greenhouses, moss-filled baubles and woodland creatures. Other themes created by John Lewis his year include Highland Myths, Lima Llama, Tales of the Maharaja and Mitsuko.
