This year there is a whole host of toy-themed calendars on the market - so we've tried out the ones tipped to be best-sellers by Toys 'R' Us and Asda.Thomas & Friends advent calander, £35, Asda Age: 4 and upwards Asda started selling its exclusive Thomas & Friends toy advent calendar in september, and since it hit shelves the train-themed item has sold out twice and promptly been restocked. Although it comes with a £30 price tag, this doesn't seem to be putting people off buying it.Each time your child opens one of the 24 doors they will get a miniature toy train. All the trains connect to make one large train that kids can play with on the track featured on the box. If your little one is a fan of the Fat Controller they'll be disappointed to learn that the character does not come in the calendar. However, this is a minor downside as you get a lot of toy trains for your money.
