Santa's Workshop Toy Run to vroom through Chickasha this Saturday, Dec. 9

by Super User
For more than 20 years Santa’s Workshop has worked with community members to provide Christmas presents for thousands of children in our community. Each year, volunteers gather to ride (motorcycles, cars, trucks) through town to bring toys and/or money to Santa’s Helpers at Santa’s Workshop! On Saturday, Dec. 9 at 12 p.m., Santa’s Toy Run will leave the Grady County Fairgrounds to travel through town. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes and the toy drop off point is the Walmart parking lot on 4th Street in Chickasha. This year, we will have two special guests, Gran Madam President Helen Poehner and State Madam President Diana Fitzpatrick, join us on the run.

If you aren’t able to participate in Santa’s Toy Run, you may contribute directly at the drop off location. Members of Santa’s Workshop will be on hand to take all donations from 1 to 4 p.m., weather permitting. Following the run, there will be a dinner and entertainment at the Eagle’s Lodge.

Please join us as we gather toys and financial contributions to ensure that every child in our community gets to experience the joy of having a Christmas present under the tree. Santa’s Workshop will be open for shopping Dec. 18 through Dec. 23. Shopping is by appointment only, so if you are seeking assistance, applications are available at the DHS, and the Grady County Health Department. If you have any questions, please contact Peggy Hammond or Deanna Ellis at 405 224-8256.
