Visit the Ginger bread Village in Niagra Falls

The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute will open its life-size gingerbread village on Saturday. The baking and pastry arts students and chefs from the culinary institute have once again this year created a life-size gingerbread village on the second floor of the culinary institute. The gingerbread house will provide a magical setting where visitors of all ages can see Santa Claus, participate in holiday crafts, decorate cookies, write letters to Santa, see live culinary demos and much more. The institute, located at 28 Old Falls St. in Niagara Falls, uses more than 5,000 pounds of gingerbread and 2,000 pounds of icing.



The weekend of December 1st through 3rd, is the peoples opportunity to see the decorated gingerbread houses submitted in the gingerbread competition sponsored by Santa CCTV. Weather permitting, on Dec. 9, Santa Claus will be arriving by Rainbow Air Helicopter on Old Falls Street, USA, at the cross-section of Rainbow Boulevard in conjunction with Jingle Falls USA. A toy train show is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 16 and 17. Oh and dont forget a Special visit from Santa Claus



The culinary institute’s Gingerbread Wonderland will be open on weekends beginning Saturday through Dec. 23. The hours are Fridays, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sundays, from Noon to 5 p.m.
