An 18-year-old from Lincolnshire is spreading Christmas joy by making festive stockings. Tom Count recently landed his dream job with the production team at the Santa Sacks Co Lincoln division. The teenager from Welton, near Lincoln, who attended William Farr School, personalises each Santa sack, making sure names are spelt correctly and sent out as soon as possible in good condition.

Tom said this is part of the product’s final part of the Santa Sacks journey.

Production Assistant Tom Count pictured at the Santa Sacks store in Sheffield using Nikon's D7500, AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.4G lens Nikon releases a new portrait photography series, shot by German photographer Paloma Parrot, which shines a light on the people around Europe who make Christmas happen. Showcasing the capabilities of the D7500 and NIKKOR lenses, the portrait images focus on the people who work behind the scenes to make Europe’s Christmas celebrations a reality. Including four ‘makers’ from the UK, the series showcases a cake maker, stocking maker, card maker and rocking horse maker, as well as a tree farmer from Denmark, a toy maker from Germany and a reindeer handler from Finland.

Tom said: “Christmas to me is about making others happy and spending time with family. Christmas is a time of giving and I love buying gifts to make everyone special on Christmas Day.

“I had been looking at jobs and had always been interested in the print industry. I noticed a local print company taking part in events in Lincoln and applied for their Christmas division. For me The Santa Sacks Co was something special. I like how we are helping others to spread the magic over the Christmas season with thoughtful personalised gifts.” Tom said a lot of time goes into someone receiving one the company’s personalised products. He added: “I check through our orders received through the night (this happens throughout the day as more orders come in). I make a start typing names in all the different fonts for each sack on the computer, start the vinyl printer then begin printing the names on the sack using a heat press.

“Once each Santa Sack is complete I prepare them for delivery all folded and tied with ribbon.”Following on from Tom’s success as Santa’s little helper, he was selected by Nikon which has just launched its photography series, showcasing the Faces of Christmas. Tom was one of a handful of people selected to be photographed by Instagram sensation and portrait photographer Paloma Parrot to showcase the stories behind the people who work tirelessly in the lead up to the festive season to ensure the public can enjoy and extra special Christmas.
